
BCT’s Privacy Policy
BCT Transfers is bound by the National Privacy Principles (NPP) which explains how businesses are able to collect and deal with personal information about individuals. This Privacy Statement explains how BCT will deal with personal information obtained by our organisation which is covered by the NPP. BCT Transfers is committed to ensuring that everyone within the organisation understands and complies with these privacy principles. The following policy aims to help ensure that this occurs.

How BCT applies the privacy principles to relevant Personal and Information.
1. Collection of Personal Information We will only collect information that we reasonably need to conduct our business and we will be fair about how we collect information. Where possible we will try to collect information directly from the person concerned.
2. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information BCT will inform you if anyone else might be provided with personal information by BCT related to BCT’s conducting its business or for any other proper purpose.
3. Quality of Data BCT takes reasonable steps to ensure all personal information is accurate.
4. Security of Data BCT takes reasonable steps to ensure all personal information is protected from misuse, loss or unauthorised access or disclosure. BCT holds all your personal and business information in a secure location and only essential information is allowed to be accessed by BCT personnel or organisations required to perform BCT related business or for another proper purpose.
5. Guidelines for Other Organisations BCT will also prepare privacy guidelines for others who may receive personal information from BCT relating to BCT conducting its business or for another proper purpose. BCT will take steps to ensure that those to whom personal information is provided are aware of their privacy obligations and committed to ensuring their obligations are met.
6. Access to Your Personal Information If BCT holds personal information about a person to which the Privacy Principles applies, we must allow the person to access this information on request. If a person wishes to access their personal information held by BCT we will allow this person access unless it is exempt information or a relevant exception applies. A request should be made in writing to BCT Transfers and BCT will arrange to make the information available as soon as reasonably practical and will seek to do so within 14 days if possible. At the time of your request, BCT Transfers will advise you if an exception applies and will explain that exception to you.
BCT may charge for providing access to personal information provided those charges are not excessive and do not apply to lodging a request for access.
7. Correction of Inaccurate Personal Information BCT will make sure to the best of its ability to make sure that all persona information which it holds is accurate and correct. If the individual and BCT disagree about whether the information is accurate, complete and up-to-date, and a person asks BCT to attach with the information a statement claiming that the information is not accurate, complete or up-to-date, BCT must take reasonable steps to do so.
8. Request for Removal of Personal Information If an individual request for BCT to remove all or certain BCT will make sure to the best of its ability to make sure that all persona information which it holds is accurate and correct. If the individual and BCT If a person requests BCT to remove all or certain personal information held by BCT we will do so to the best of our ability unless it is exempt information or a relevant exception applies. A request should be made in writing to BCT Transfers and BCT will arrange to remove the information requested as soon as reasonably practical and will seek to do so within 14 days if possible. At the time of your request, BCT Transfers will advise you if an exception applies and will explain that exception to you.
9. Removal of Personal Information no longer required BCT will remove Personal Information of anyone who it is reasonably considered that we will no longer their personal information for BCT related business.
10. Responsibility of Personal Information Each State Master Franchise is responsible for privacy, accuracy and security of the Personal Information which is held and handle in each state. Application of Policies These specific access and correction policies apply in relation to personal information collected by BCT after 01 January 2009. These policies also apply to personal information collected by BCT before 01 January 2009 and used or disclosed by BCT after 01 January 2009, except to the extent that compliance with these policies in relation to the information would place an unreasonable administrative burden on BCT or cause BCT unreasonable expense.
